【Properties】

This product is light yellow powder and tastes bitter.

 

【Identification】

Take 1 mg of this product and add 1 ml of methanol to dissolve it, which is used as the test solution. Take another baicalin reference substance and add methanol to make a solution containing 1 mg of baicalin per 1 mg, which is used as the reference solution. According to the thin layer chromatography test, take 2 μl of each of the above two solutions and spot them on the same polyamide thin plate, use acetic acid as the developing agent, develop, take out, dry, and examine under ultraviolet light. At the corresponding position of the reference chromatogram, a fluorescent spot of the same color appears.

 

【Inspection】

Drying loss: Dry this product at 105℃ to constant weight, and the weight loss shall not exceed 5.0% (Appendix IXG, Part II, Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 Edition).

 

【Heavy Metal】

Take the ignition residue for inspection, it shall not exceed 20ppm. [Content determination] Determine by high performance liquid chromatography.

【Loss on Drying】

Take 1g of the sample and spread it flat in a flat weighing bottle (M0) that has been dried to constant weight. The thickness should not exceed 5mm and the looseness should not exceed 10mm. Weigh it accurately (M1). Open the bottle cap and dry it at 105℃ for 5 hours. Put the bottle cap back on and move it to a dryer to cool for 30 minutes. Weigh it accurately (M2). (Loss on drying ≤5%)
